The First Virtual World Circular Economy Forum to take place on the 29th and 30th of September 2020!

Don't forget to register to be able to join all six sessions and numerous great side events!

While the annual main event WCEF2020 in Toronto has been postponed by a year, this unusual situation has inspired Sitra to organise the first fully virtual event as part of the World Circular Economy Forum. WCEFonline will dive into why and how a circular economy can help reboot and build resilience in our economy, now becoming even more prominent and important than ever in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

WCEFonline will present some of the world’s top representatives of circular economy from all spheres such as, experts, business leaders, policy makers, change makers, academics and so on. For example,  Inger Andersen, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme; Ricardo Lozano, Minister of the Environment and Sustainable Development of Colombia; Dame Ellen MacArthur, Founder of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation; Carolina Schmidt, Minister of the Environment of Chile; Virginijus Sinkevičius, European Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries; Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission; Stientje van Veldhoven, Minister for the Environment of the Netherlands; Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of the Environment and Climate Change of Canada; and Jyrki Katainen, President of Sitra.
