Circular Point attends Budapest Water Summit 2019 and EXPO-BWS

On 15-17 October, the Budapest Water Summit (BWS2019) took place in Milenáris Park. The motto of the event was “preventing water crises”.

On 15-17 October, the Budapest Water Summit (BWS2019) took place in Milenáris Park, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. The motto of the event was “preventing water crises” and its main objective was to contribute in finding solutions to prevent the escalation of water crisis.   The BWS2019 had 2400 registered participants from 118 countries, and it counted with the presence of high-level government representatives, private sector, academia, CSOs and NGOs advocating for better water management and protection. Circular Point (CP) was present at this exciting event together with Geonardo Environmental Technologies promoting CP’s activities and services. The EXPO -BWS was a parallel event within the same venue where interesting session were organised with Hungarian companies working abroad in different technological fields in water management. Among the topics, circular economy was mentioned as a key aspect of new technologies and strategies to preserve water. Also, CP posed questions at the plenary session (Day#3) related to transboundary water affairs and lessons learned from different agreements such as the international Sava River Basin Commission and the Danube Commission.
